How does the SFTP option work?

Mobilecheck customers may now upload batch files for processing to our FTP server. You will need to upload files in the correct format using suitable FTP client software (e.g. Filezilla, which can be downloaded from here: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php)

Once logged on, each customer will see their own unique “Data” folder, and this is where you will place (upload) all your files for processing, and where the resultant “output” file will be placed, ready for download.

To process a batch, please ensure the following:
File Format: csv (no field headers)

File Structure: (no quotes required)
urn (your unique reference)
mobile number (for testing)

e.g.
1001,447732781xxx
1002,447766123xxx
1003,447734878xxx

File Name: Please ensure a unique input filename – the results file will use the same filename, but with an ‘.out’ file extension.
The output file will contain your urn as well as the standard Mobilecheck output fields.

The system will automatically delete processed data in line with the existing customer data retention period (7, 14, 21 or 28 days as selected by the customer on registration – this can be changed within the Mobilecheck application).

You will receive automatic notification emails to your nominated email address for each of the following events:
a) your batch has been accepted for processing
b) processing is completed and your output file is ready for collection.

Our system automatically polls the customer folders every few minutes so when placing (uploading) files into your data folder, you will see them disappear once the folder has been polled and the files removed for processing.

To enable the SFTP option, please contact us directly to configure your account. Once configured, we will send your SFTP credentials so that you can process data.
